Teams and Duties Outline

All great events have one thing in common, great volunteers. This event is no
different and we can really use your help to make this year’s event one of the
best.  As a volunteer you will receive the following as a token of our appreciation
for all your hard work and dedication to this event.  Thanks in advance for volunteering!  
You are going to have a great time!   If you are under 18 years old and want to
volunteer please make sure you have a parent or guardian sign the Volunteer Consent

Pre-Race Package Pick-Up  (20 volunteers needed)

Saturday Jan 7, 2012 Time 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm 

Volunteers will help athletes with last minute registration, timing chip check in,
goody bag pick-up.  Package pickup is at Freedom Park, Camarillo Airport.

Race Day Positions Needed

Sunday Jan 8, 2012 >>>>>>> 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

5:00a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (12 volunteers needed)

Race course set up team should arrive on site and help out with directional signs

And aid station supplies drop off.  We would like three teams of 4 volunteers each.  We would also need 3 people that have trucks or SUV to help drop off the aid station supplies along the race course, table, water, cups, canopy.

5:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. (10 needed)

Volunteers for Race Day check in should arrive at this time and be ready to help with athlete check in process that starts at 5:45 a.m. and ends at 6:45 a.m.

 

6:15 a.m. to: 2:30 p.m. (102 needed, 6 persons per aid station 17 aid stations)

Volunteers will hand out water and Gatorade pick up athlete discarded cups and other trash.

8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.Finish line team: (10 needed)

Give each runner a finisher medal, bottle of water and congratulations. Please alert the first aid personnel of anyone that looks like they are in trouble.  

 

Clean up team:

12:00 to 3:00 pm (15 people needed please arrive no later than Noon)

Team #1 will consist of 4 people that will drive the course and

look for any cups, gu packs, or other race day trash that needs to be picked up and brought back to the race site.  Come back to the finish line / expo area to drop off your supplies and help with any other post race clean up.

 

Team#2 Pick up the water station tables and any leftover supplies that might still be there.  Come back to the finish line / expo area to drop off your supplies and help with any other post race clean up.
